Karl Olson at the Al luras Federated Church Satur day afternoon, Nov. 30. ; The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bertil K. Larson, Al Uiras, was given in marriage toy her father. She wore a gown qf Chantilly lace. The bodice had a Sabrina neckline and el bow length sleeves. The eon trolled bell skirt had back full ness which flowed into a grace ful rjhapel train. Her veil was of imported illusion tulle and complemented live lovely lace pillbox crown embroidered in seed pearls. Her flowers were blue glamellias centered with a white orchid. The sheath skirts were over laid with tunics. They wore matching headpieces of royal Hue net roses with floating veils. Their slippers were royal blue matching the gowns. Kach gjrl carried a bouquet of blue gjamellias. ; Preceding the wedding pro fession was the niece of the bridegroom, Cheryl French, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Ar thur 'French, wealing a nylon tulle frock and crown of flow ers in her hair. She carried a white basket of blue and while blossoms. The Reverend Olson read Eli zabeth Barrett Browning's Son net 43 to the couple and their gathered friends before reading the wedding vows. Following the exchange of vows, Mrs. Goulden sang the "Wedding Prayer." A reception was held follow ing the ceremony at the Fellow ship Hall of the church. Aunts of the bride, Mrs. Bradford Bolts, Ashland, and Mrs. Don ald Barker, Eugene, presided at the silver lea services. The (our tiered wedding cake was encircled w ith delicate blue flowers, white doves, silver leaves and white hearts and bells. II was topped wilh four blue satin bells and an ar rangement of bridal llowers. The bride's table was covered with a white cut work clolh over white salin draping caught al intervals with swags of fern and small bouquets of w h i t e rosebuds. Carolyn Smith sol ved I h c wedding cake and Nadine En derlin took care of the guest book. The bride lefl for her honey moon dressed in a black brushed wool dress with a cam el's hair jacket and malching hat. She had black palonl accos soi ries and wore the orchid from her bridal bouquet. The young couple left for a brief honeymoon in Nevada be fore making their home in San Francisco where he is al lend ing Ileald's Business School. The new Mrs. Phillips is a No vember graduate or the Dental Nurses School in San Francisco. Both young people arc gradu ates of Ihe Modoc' High School in Alturas. She was worthy ad viser of the Alturas Chapter of Ihe Kainlxiw for Girls and he is past master councilor of lX'Mo lay in Alturas. Out-of-town gnosis were Mr. and 'Mi. Nevada Rites Unite Couple ALTURAS - Mr. and Mrs. Roger W. Collis are making their home in Alturas after their recent wedding at the First Methodist Church in C a r o n City, Nov. The new Mrs. Collis is the former Millie Compton of Alturas. The bride was given in mar riage by her brother, Richard Largent of Portola. Her matron of honor was Mrs. Lois Bailey, Alturas. Dick Jones of Grass Valley was best man. For her wedding, the bride wore a light beige dress with a satin bow at Ihe waist. Her ac cessories w ere a blue rlunestone necklace and a blue net and feather hat. A wedding dinner followed the ceremony at the Nugget Res taurant in Sparks for the wed ding party and guests. Attending the wedding were Mrs. Mildred Compton, mother of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Ran dall Collis, Mr. and Mrs. Don Collis. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Por ter, all of Alturas; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Largent. Karl Olson read the marriage vows. The bride was given in mar riage by Randall Collis. H e r gown had a Chantilly lace hod ice with a sweetheart neckline and three - quarter length sleeves. The skirt was ballerina length, chilfon over talletn. A waist length veil was held by a headpiece trimmed wilh pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses and orange blos soms. Her grandmother's lava liere was something old nml her shoes were something bor rowed. Mrs. Nancy Sanford was ma tron of honor for her sister in a gown of white lace over pink talfeta with a pink satin cum merbund. Serving as brides maids were Mildred Larrimorc in a pink lafleta gown with a bell shaped skirt and Cherryl Skill in blue chilfon w ith a lace over-jacket. All three attendants carried bouquets of orange blos soms. Chuck Yancey slood as best man and ushers were Chiis Da nuser and , terry Geaney. Tlie bride's mother wore a green knit suit with black ac cessories and Ihe mother of Ihe bridegroom was attired in a blue wool dress with a white, beige and blue wool coat. They both wore corsages of talisman roses. The couple greeted guests at a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dantiser. The wedding cake was served by Karen Hart and Suzanne Hox sey. Carol Armor and Alice Maltson served punch. Cheryl Smith was in charge of the guest book and Dianne Davis was in charge of the gifts. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Randall Collis and Harold Mapes of Alturas. She attended Modoc High School and was 1M queen of the Modoc County Fair. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James K. Blake Jr. He is a graduate of the Churchill County High School, Fallon, Nov., and attended the University of Nevada. The newlywcds are making their home in Alturas. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. George Tipmen, Pais ley; Mrs. James Sanford, Wal nut Creek, Calif., and Mrs. Frank Morgan and daughter Etti, Eagleville.
