"Neither will I otter burnt offerings unto the Lord my
God of thet hich cost me nothing." U iom. 24 24).
Herein lies o secret of our devotion to Christ ond the
Kingdom of God. Too often we try to get along with a
religion fhot doesn't cost ut anything, or ot least with utt
os little os we think possible. Of couno it is true that we
con't buy our way, but if our devotion is deep enouqh
to mean much we will not went to come before God with
that which cost us nothing.
Let us realise fhot vital faith it t costly one. If our
faith is dull and lifeless, let us recoqmie it os being the
result of a holttng, dead devotion, faithfulness is based
on absolute commitment to the course of Chmt. It is
costly in time ond money, as well as in service.
