Sojourners 'Sojourners Club met Wed nesday, Nov. 27, al the Willard Hotel. Hustesses were Ginper Jefferson and Mary Holt. Lois Rupp was a first-time visitor and Trudi Akerman was wel comed as a new member. Guests were Matie Hagelund and Crystabelr Ncwhall. Cards were played following the meeting. Jan Ferm was first in bridge and Eve Ash ley, second. Anna Crumhauah won in canasta and Joyce Em erson in pinochle. PLAN FOR PARTY Each year the Parents and Patrons organization of Sacred Heart Academy entertain at a silver tea in honor of the Sisters of the academy. Tea hours are from 2 until 5 p.m. Manzanita OES Meets Manzanita Chapter No. 172 held a regular meeting Wed nesday, Nov. 27, and honored Glen Hageman, worthy patron, with a birthday gift and'aden 'dem presented by the Rosebuds. Harold Rush, member of the home endowment committee of the Grand Chapter of Oregon, was making ls official visit to explain the needs of the 91 men and women who live in the East ern Star Home in Forest Grove. Lois Gueck, past worthy matron of Manzanita Chapter, is the chairman for the chapter for the home endowment. Women of the Moose, held their Social Service Chapter Night on Dec. 3 with Winona Cramblet, senior regent, presiding. The meeting was turned over to the social service chairman, Dorothy Bidwell. who intro duced her committee and lier program. Phil Parsons of the United Fund office was the guest speaker. Sharon Babcock was enrolled into the chapter. It was announced that Hazel Pulley and Winona Cramblet were in charge of Operation Santa Claus and names, ages and sex of children of needy families be called to them. The lodge women work in this proj ect in conjunction with the Christmas Clearing Bureau. The Women of the Moose are sponsoring a rummage sale Dec. 13 and 14. The next meeting will be a Christmas party and exchange of gifts on Dec. 17. Refreshments were served by the social service committee. Luncheon Meeting The November meeting of the Aloha Past Matrons Club was a luncheon held at Kinglalls Res taurant with Gwenn Pierson, president, in charge. Hostesses for the day were Betty Hunter and Norma ler lings. May Phinnoy and Alma Cofer volunteered to do the calling for the December activities. Clairalice Epperson won the speoial prize. The next meeting will be Dec. 27 at Molatore's with Alpha Phelps and Lillian Hanelineas hostesses. To this meeting members are asked to bring gift for the guests of the Ma sonic - Eastern Star Home in Forest Grove. This is an annual project and this year is in charge of Lillian Haneline. The Aloha Past Matrons Club meets on the last Friday of the month for a no-hostess lunch eon. All past matrons living in the area are cordially invited to attend these meetings. Women Plan Tea Women of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints arc planning a Christmas tea and bazaar to which the public is invited. The affair will be held Thurs day, Dec. 12. in tlie church at the corner of Ninth and Plum streets. There is no charge. Child care will be provided during the afternoon hours of 1 to 5 p.m. The bazaar w ill feature CJirist mas novelties and gifts, hand work and candy.
