Friendship Court Meets Friendship Court No. 11, Or der of the Amaranth, held a slated meeting Nov. 21 in the Scottish Rite Temple. The meeting opened in regu lar lorm with Velma Krauss, royal matron and Frank Mc Cornack, royal patron pre siding. Past Grand Royal Patron of Grand Coun of Oregon, Jack Schulze, was escorted to the throne by leona Angel arid Martha Powell, marshals in the East and West, and was given the grand welcome. He extended a special in vitation to parents to visit the classrooms of their children. The Melody Mothers, led by Mrs. W. Don Miller and accom panied by Mrs. Anita Campbell, presented several numbers. Mrs. Beverly Tucker, presi dent erf Melody Mothers, was in troduced as the sister of Bob Jarschke, president of Parents and Patrons, w ho conducted the meeting. The flag salute was led by Camp Fire Girls Marlyn Revis and Patty Lougee. Mrs. Winona Leonard's fifth and sixth gr ade room won the room count. Special prizes were awarded to Mrs. Mary Wagner. Mrs. Eu lalee Whitlock. Mrs. Vema Flet cher and Mrs. Sara Mosely. Mrs. Phil Schroeder, president, has an nounced the program will be, appropriately, in the Christmas theme. The "Christmas Story" will he related by Mrs. J. A. Nixon. Thf musical portion of the pro gram will be under the direc tion of M. Dale Halleck of Klamath Union High School. He will introduce the Kl'HS String Orchestra, whose selections w ill he special arrangements of fa miliar Christmas carols. The Madrigal Singers will present several numbers including Fred Waring's arrangement of "Night Before Christmas." Following the program, club officers will be hostesses at tea. Queen Pam was chosen from among five candidates by members of the Alle Mage Ski Club at its Tuesday meeting. The foun princesses of the Snow Court are Susan Drew, Ann Lind ley, Linda Bonotto and Kathy Kuhlman. The five candi dates were elected by the KUHS Ski Club. The Snow Queen and her court will preside over ski events here and will accompany local skiers on many out-of-town trips. FUTURE BRIDE Betty Miller, daughter of Mrs. Delia Ruth Miller and James E. Miller, Pacific Beach, Calif., is the fiancee of Robert Wayne Bates, ron of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bates of this city. Their wedding will be an event of early spring. The bride-to-be attended San Diego State College. Her fiance, graduate of Klamath Union Hlqh School, is serving in the Far East with the Navy.
