November 24, 1K3 Party Fetes Golden Pair A reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Guy Emerson Bellant on their golden wedding anniver sary was an event of Nov. 10 in Portland at tlx? home of a daughter. Mrs. Clarence Cooper. 'Mr. and Mrs. Bellant resided in Klamath Falls from VJSZ to 1959 when he retired as a con ductor for the Oreat Northern Railway. Since that time they have made their home in Port land. Tlie Bcllants were married Nov. 10. 1913, in Kairchild, Wis. Their children include Mrs. Es ther Sevcik. Mrs. Cooper, Mrs. Gordon West, Lawrence E. Bel lant, all of Portland; Raymond E. Bellant, Albany, Ga., and Guy E. Bellant Jr., Okinawa. There are 13 grandchildren. At this meeting, tMrs. Helen Wheeler, Sulherlin, a member of the joint youth committee, made her official visit. Follow ing her talk she was presented a tribute and gilt Irom the club. Morande are. shown at tha reception at Molatore's which followed their marriage at First Christian Church. Mrs. Morande is the former Mrs. Bessie Smith. sage was of yellow roses. The wedding reception was held at Molatore's Restaurant. The newlyweds will make their home in Malin. The new Mrs. Morande is employed in the general administrative of fice of the city hall. Her hus band is an employe of Love ness Lumber Company in 51a lin. Special guests were Ralph Hill, Virginia Battis and Mrs. Mike Holland. Pair Recite Nuptial Vows Mrs. Bessie Smith, Klamath Falls, and William P. Morande, Malin, were united in mar riage in an Oct. 5 double ring ceremony at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Robert L. John officiated. Fall flowers and tapers in four candelabra decorated for the 8 p.m. cere mony. Mrs. Robert L. John was the organist and Mrs. Alita Lcg gctt, the soloist. The bride wore a two-piece beige silk shantung dress with matching accessories. Her pearl necklace was a gift of the bridegroom. She carried a crescent arrangement of yellow roses and slcphanotis with cen ter corsage of phaclconopsis orchids. Mrs. Ralph Hill, matron of honor, was dressed in a light blue talfcta dress with overlay of lace. Her accessories were blue. Her bouquet was a com bination of carnations, pom pons in fall shades and nat ural wheat. Fred Hattis was best man and Terry Battis seated the guests who were members of the two families. The bride's mother, Mrs. Agnes Drazil of Malin. wore for the occasion a black and white checked lalfelu dress w i 1 h matching accessories. V. Prince, reside. The future bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Larson, Klamath Falls, and is a graduate of Henley High School. Both young people are students at Howard Payne College, majoring in edu cation. She is a sophomore and her fiance, a senior. WOM Meet Women of the Moose 4(17 met for Library Chapter Night on Nov. 5. Marlene Preston, li brary chairman, was in charge. The program included numbers by the Pelican Pipers and a talk on children's books and the library by Mrs. E. Hawkins of the city library.
