Klamath REPLICA TO FLY A replica of the "Spirit of St. Louis," the first airplane to make a non-stop fliqht between New York and Paris will be flown from St. Louis to New York City and displayed in the Missouri exhibition at the World's Fair. Khrushchev made his predic tion of a solution to the ideological dispute with the Pe king camp-at a revolutionary anniversary reception in the Kremlin He also took tlie oc casion to lash out at U.S. Cu ban policy and predict that the Soviet Union would pass Amer ica economically in seven years. It will be the 12th special ses sion in Oregon history. The session six years ago was called to reduce taxes because the state had built up a multi million dollar surplus. Officials hope that it will be possible to get ballots from at least half of the 3.5 million Americans eligible to cast ab sentee votes. Little more than one-third of this group has voted in past presidential elec tions. Approximately 40 per cent of the eligible members of the armed services cast absentee ballots in I960. The proposition is presumed to have been smaller among civilians over seas. Mark Hatfield junked $18 million in capital construction and salary hikes, trimmed $17 million from agency budgets, proposed nearly $11 million in basic school cuts, and asked the legislature to re-pass a one-shot speedup of withholding tax col lections to add $12 million to the biennium's income. Reductions in basic school, and adoption of the one-shot measure require legislative ac tion.
