The film is the initial presen tation of the Fine Film Society this year and has been called Aik about daily "usinoes Card" SPOT ADS TU 4-11 II by "the best film in 30 years' Time magazine. The program will begin at 8 p.m. Oct. 30 in the John Mantle Campus Center. Admission is 80 cents for adults and 60 cents for students with student body cards. THE RED CARPET IS OUT and you'll find everything including free parking KLAMATH FALLS One person was killed and 79 were injured in 364 traffic ac c i d e n t s reported in Klam ath Falls for the first seven months of this year, according to a special report released by the State Department of Motor Vehicles. Of the 79 persons injured, 19 were hurt seriously, 37 others suffered visible injuries such as bruises and abrasions, and the remaining 23 complained of pain without any signs of injury be ing visible. The leading cause of injuries was attributed to two or more motor vehicles being operated in traffic. Fifty - five inju ries were reported in such cases, followed by incidents in volving pedestrians, 8; parked motor vehicles, 7: vehicles run ning off roads, 5; cars over turned on roadway, 2; and mis cellaneous accidents and those involving bicycles, 1 each. The report shows that city streets were more dangerous for motorists than primary state highways leading through Klam ath Falls. Of the 364 accidents, 197 oc curred on city streets, with 172 resulting in property damage and 23 in personal injuries, in cluding one fatality. On pri mary state highways, 165 re ported accidents resulted in property damage to 131 vehicles and injuries to 34 persons. More accidents were reported Enrollment Hits Record Figure ASHLAND Enrollment at Southern Oregon College for the fall term has risen to an all time record of more than 2,10 students. Registrar Mrs. Mabel W. Win ston said this tops last year's high of 1,856 students by near ly 250. There was an 18.6 per cent in crease in new students, but there was also an upswing in the number of returning stu dents of 10.1 per cent over last year. Ancient Fir Log Brought To Mill MOUNT SHASTA - A red fir log estimated to be 430 years old was brought by the Cobun Trucking Company to the Kimberly-Clark Lumber Company's Mount Shasta mill last Friday. Measuring eight fect at the butt, the 16-foot length provided 4,000 feet of good lumber. All projects are to be located approximately 40 miles east of Lakevicw, with each reservoir requiring about 7.210 cubic yards of excavation. 'Previous season high was lDtil's total of 47,734. New standing room only rec ords were also established. Dur ing the run 36 of the produc tions were totally sold out and four of the remaining 10 topped the 1.000 mar. The SRO sign was displayed at the box office for 23 consecutive nights, from Aug. 13 through Sept. 4. Attendance at the four pro ductions were more evenly dis tributed than in any other sea son. All but one staging of "Merry Wives of Windsor" was sold out; only two of "Love's Labour's Lost" production were under capacity as were two nights of "Romeo and Juliet." "Henry V" sold out all but four of its performances, after hav ing established a new Ashland record on July 27 by being the first history play to sell out its Ashland opening. Critical mention in the press and on the air also reached new highs in both volume and ap proval. Coupling this with ex tremely favorable guest card comments, 1963 will also be re corded as' a new peak in artis tic success for America's first Elizabethan Theater.
