"DENNIS THE, MENACE"" 4-5 O o o o o . o DU.'.R POLLY I koep a draw. string bag hanging on noon my coat closet. This is the family. "lost and found" department. When one glove or one sock or a part of a game turns up the find er puts it in the bag. When the other half appears on theCg-ene, its mate is easily located. MKb. J. K. DEAR POLLY I hope my timc saver will be helpful to someone else as I always read the column first to see what is new in time saving. Vacuum cleaning used to be a real chore in our ranch style home. 1 decided it was because of all the plugging in, unplugging, replugging of appliances and mov. ing furniture to get at outlets as I moved from room to room. My husband bought me a 25-foot extension cord and now I plug it into one central outlet. My work is done in half the time, unbeliev able as it sounds. I wind the cord so it uncoils from the lop to pre vent tangles, but a small reel could be used if one preferred. -C (. DEAR POLLY - My small youngster is such a squirmer I could never get his correct weight until one day I put the scale on my dresser in front of the mir ror. He was so tickled looking at his own reflection he stood still long enough for me to get the cor rect weight. MRS. J. G. J. GIRLS Hold Sonny with a firm grip. POLLY DEAR POLLY-lt is often fool ish to keep the children's boots un til another winter as they are sure to outgrow them. 1 cut the top: off when spring arrives and make rubbers out of tne bottoms rhev are nice lor eany mornings when the dew is still on the grass or for playing outside just alter a rain.-MRS. B. S. B. DEAR POLLY-To keep my lit tie boy's shirts tucked neatly in side his trousers, I sewed buttons on his shirts and corresponding elastic loops on the inside waist band of his pants. No more shirt tails hanging out and he always: looks neat. This would probably work well with little girls' skirts and blouses, too. As for my husband's hats which were usually stacked helter-skelter on the closet shelf, I took his hat boxes and stacked them up-1 side down on the sheif. I cut open both side scams and the bottom of the front of each box. Now he can lift up the lap, slip a hat out and they are kept orderly! iind dust free M. &.
