The blonde actress was accom panied to court by San Francisco attorney Jack Ehrtieh, who told the judge ner physician had given her permission to sign his name to prescriptions when he was not available. Ehrlich submitted to the court a doctor's report which said the actress was not addicted to pcr codan or lo any ether drug, lie said she had taken the drag to alleviate pain from ulcers, which caused tier hospitalization m Aus tralia earlier this vear. UPi Telephoto Ailing Paul Robeson Flies To East Berlin For Rest BEKLIN I CPU Ailing Ne gro singer Paul Robeson flew Sunday to East Berlin, shortly alter a British newspaper report er1 he had broken with the Soviet Union. Robeson, his wife, Eslanda. and' an American woman friend iden tified only as Mrs. Hurwitt made the trip from London by Putishi airliner. They left the airport in a Bus-sian-made automobile for an un known destination. No trace o( the 63-year-old singer has befn reported since. Harold Davison, Robeson's ag ent, said in London he had gone to East Germany to convalesce at a spa. The agent said he would lie "away four to five weeks" be fore returning for a recording engagement and a television show. The London Sunday Telegraph said an attempt might be made to "smuggle" Robeson out of England, "The attempt may have been prompted by the fact that he mav soon be well enough lo speak to the press himself," the newspaper said. The Telegraph quoted Robeson today as saying to one of its cor respondents that "the Sunday Telegraph article is vicious mis representation." Wife Leaves Young Crosby HOLLYWOOD fUPP The wife of Dennis Crosby, son of !crooner Bing Crosby, has hired an attorney to file for divorce.
