August 11, 1961 - i v ..... - DATE SET Former Klamath Falls residents now residing in Lalceview, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Hunsaker, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter on Aug. 31. Engaged are Margene Hunsaker and Daniel J. Robertson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Harold Robert son, Reinbeck, Iowa. The future bride, graduate of Klam ath Union High School, has attended Utah State Univer sity the past thren. years and is affiliated with Kappa Delta sorority. Her fiance attended the University of Iowa befors entering the Air Force. Presently he is sta tioned at Kingsley Field. r v. r Map Mr. and Mrs. Ray L. "Aunt Molly," as she is known to most, will be 89 years old in Au gust and lives with her son, Walter. The east was banked with fern and roses. The motto for this year, "Faith, Hope. Prayer," was lettered in gold above a cutout of "praying hands. The presiding worthy matron and patron, Leona Selby and San- ford Selby, opened the meeting and introduced the installing ma tron, Leona Angel. Other install ing officers were Harold Rush, patron; Reno Oldham, chaplain: Martha Powell, marshal; Lillian Haneline, honorary marshal; Al ia Cofer, organist. The 1963-64 officers entered and circled the altar to take their obligations. Carrie Rush and Or val Alley, installed as worthy ma tron and patron, were escorted to1 the East through an archway of roses tormed by the Friendshipi uems. Others Installed are Ruth Ren ie, associate matron; Jake Renie associate patron; Helen Crapo secretary: Pearl Gisvold, treas urer; Ruth Holeomb, conductress: Peggy Harnsberger, associate con ductress; Eva Alley, chaplain; Ora Gienger, marshal: Argil Stan bery, organist: Ruby Hale, Adah; Faye Rutherford, Ruth; Bcltyl Stevens, Esther; Frieda Griffith Martha; Lena Reinmiller, Electa; Gladys Sheldon, warder, and Rich ard Griffith, sentinel. Throughout the ceremonies, Al ma Cofer played appropriate back ground music. Carol Keesling, ac-i companied by Marie Obcnchain sang two solos, "You'll Ncvpri Walk Alone" and "How Great Thou Art." Roy Lundgren gave a reading and solo, "Faith Un locks The Door, accompanied bv Argil Stanbery. Tables for the reception in the banquet room were arranged to form a star. Each was deco rated with roses held by angel statuettes. Presiding at the re ccption was Bess Eraser, chair man, assisted by Edith Palmer ton. Doris Peyton and Myrtle Schiclcrslcin. On the table with the cake was a gold horn of plenty filled with yellow roses. One of the many gilts centered the gift table, a treasure chest of gold-wrapped coins atop a rock like stand and encircled with yet low gladioli, a gift to the couple from his fellow-workers at Cra ler Lake Machinery Company. Assisting with serving were Mrs. Hunsakcr's sisters, Alice Ilershberger. this city. Ruth Green, Medford, Vale Stavr and Marguerite Orrell, both of Eu gene, and Clover Higdon, this city. Linda Kay Hunsaker, grand daughter of the honored pair. held the guest book tor the sig natures of approximately 150 guests, many of whom came from Eugene, Bend, Lebanon and Salem. Also present were several former schoolmates of Mrs. Hun- saker's from New Pine Creek. Ray L. Hunsaker was born near Klamath Falls in a house close to the present-day Idclla's the Rev. George Feese. minister of the First Methodist Church at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Sparks, who were their attend ants. Their honeymoon trip to Crater Lake was made by wagon and team via Aspen Lake and the west side of Klamath Lake. The marriage license was issued by the late C..R. DeLap, father! of Charles DeLap. The Hunsakers have spent most of their married life Klamath Falls. In addition to their four sons they have six grandchildren For approximately the past 40 years both have been active mem bers of the First Baptist Church and in recognition of their service: the church members presented the Hunsakers with a handsome floor lamp on their wedding anniversary. President Visits Delta Kappa Gamma Members of Alpha and Alpha Lambda, local chapters of Del ta Kappa Gamma international honor society for women teach ers, enjoyed a colorful buffet luncheon at the Winema Hotel Sat urday, July 20. honoring the state president, Alice Otis, Grants Pass, on her official visitation. Alice Otis brought greetings from state officers and gave a brief ac count of her recent trip to the regional Delta Kappa Gamma convention held in Rapid City, N.D., June 27-28-2(1. Dorothy Adams, president of Klamath Falls Alpha Chapter, presided at the head table and introduced the guest speaker. Leola Thompson, accompanied by Dea Jen Wright at the piano, led the group in singing several Delta Kappa Gamma songs.
