He broke in with Boston in 1952 and played for tlie Red Sox for six seasons with time out for a nervous breakdown which even tually resulted in his book "Fear Strikes Out." Traded In 1961 He was traded to Cleveland in 1861 and went to the Washington Senators in 1962.
