The class of '38, pictures at top of page, met for the first time in 25 years at the Winema Hotel. Archie Huff, shown above with Mrs. Huff, left, was chairman, assisted by Pete Green. Roberta Blomquist, right above, was banquet speaker. Wesley Yancey and Gertrude Nyback McFad yen, decorations, used class colors of blue and silver to augment school colors. At right, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Myers (Grace Ross) receive prize from Mrs. Elton Smith, right, for traveling farthest, from Flagstaff, for party. Also present for the event were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Crapo (Caroline Daggett), San Bernardino, and Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Bethune (Doreen Lowther), Van Nuys. Virginia West, '38 class adviser, now teach ing in Eugene, is shown in the top picture with Elton Smith who was master of ceremonies. . . Class of '48, also meeting for the first time, chose Reames Country Club for the dinner dance on a Saturday eve ning, followed by a picnic the next day at Moore Park. Jim Cris mon was general chairman and matter of ceremonies for the ban quet. Doug Dryden was reservation chairman. Both men were ably assisted by a large group of local classmates. Pictured above, left to right, are Goldie Erickson, Bill Southwell, Portland, student body president in '48, and Mrs. Doug Dryden. The three men holding the 1948 emblem, left to right, are Don Zarosinski, Portland, Kenneth Kimf, Paisley, and Rex Mills, San Francisco. The two couples at right are Mr. and Mrs. Bill Harsey, Portland, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stearns (Nellie Hanka), Malin.
