asked the state fire marshal's
office to conduct an investiga
tion. Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Hec
octa discovered the fire and sum
moned Hunt, who was able to
extinguish the blaze. Damage
was partially covered my insur
ance.

Forest Grove Camp at Canby,

two-week vacation. She was ac

reported caused by the lightning,

highway between Coquille and
Myrtle Point and improvement o
the Powers secondary highway

Commission members said the
request would be studied but
pointed to the lack ot funds tor

is very sick. He has an incur
able illness and the doctors say
he can't live more than a few
more months.
Our 6-year-old son knows grand
pa is not going to get well. We've
told Freddie that grandpa will
soon be going to his heavenly
home where he will have rest and
peace and be free of pain.
Now Freddie talks about noth
ing but the funeral. He has asked
dozens of questions. He just as
sumes he will be present. The
question is, should he be? My
husband says, "Yes." I'm not so
sure.
I remember the first funeral 1
attended when I was 7. I had
terrible nightmares for years. It
left me with fears from which
I've never completely recovered.
I m afraid of subjecting our son
to the same hazard. What do you
