Vandalism
Investigated

two acts of vandalism that oc
curred in the past three days.

;Bank officials estimated $1,000
damage was caused when some
one fired a rifle shot through the
bank window that alto pierced a
curtain and entered the ceiling.
City police found an empty car
tridge outside the building and
du the bullet slug out of the
ceiling. A witness who saw the
stiooting wrote down the license
number of the car as the vehicle
sped away. Polce Indicate there
is. a suspect in the case.
Betty Cote, county librarian,
told police three teen-age boys
pulled fixtures off the men s rc.-l
room at the library Monday aft
ernoon. Mrs. Cote gave descrip
tions of the youths to the po
iy but there are no suspects.
