Photo by Bob Anderson BPW Install New Officers Past presidents of the Business and Professional Women's Club were in charge of the last meet ing of the group at which time new officers were installed by (jene Bricco, assisted by Lou ise Mitchell. Velma Tennery will head the BPW as president. On her board are Louise Patterson, first vice president: Mary Bothwell. second vice president: Eva Dickson, re cording secretary; Dorothy Bor tis, corresponding secretary, and June Jones, treasurer. Decorations were particularly1 effective with combinations of hawtliorne and snowballs and pur ple and white lilacs. Candles were pink, In charge of decorations were Suzanne Hamilton, Isabelle Brix ner, Emma Carter, Beth Griggs, Edna Albrecht and Polly Schroe- der. Other past presidents in charge of the program and the printed programs included Kathleen Ward. Eva Cook, Ellen Upp, Beulah Elliott and Dena Backes. Soloist for the evening was Mrs. Normand Poulshock, who was her own accompanist. Mae Phinney gave the invoca tion ?nd Isabelle Brixner, the col lect. Father's Day Is Observed DAIRY In observance of Fa ther's Day, a group of friends gathered at the Bonanza Cafe for smorgasbord dinner on June 15. In the group were Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Heile. PLAN WEDDING The marriage of Helen Virginia Da vis and Robert An! will be an event of Aug. 17 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Their engagement is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elnathan Davis. The future bride is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. Her fiance, who is stationed at Kingsley Field, is a graduate of Kamahameha Military School in Honolulu. He is the son of Mrs. Agnes Ani, Kailua, Oahu. Party Given potluck luncheon at their June 19 meeting in the city park. Dawn Brooks and Paula Frank each played piano solos and duets with their teacher, Mrs. George Schracdcr. Approximately 30 seniors gath ered for the luncheon which was in charge of Mrs. Katie Rousli nd Mrs. Bernice Richardson Mrs. Rilla Peterson and Mr6 Aileen Simmers, representing the sponsoring Soroptimist Club, were quests for the luncheon and afternoon. Plans for a July 20 chicken barbecue were made. Members of the club. Soroptimisls and their husbands are invited to at tend the affair which will be held in the city park. Final ar rangements will be made at the July 17 meeting. There will be no meeting July 3. A tentative bus trip to the San Francisco Ice Follies was planned tor sometime in August.
