area, hauls in a catch of upper Klamath Lake roach, commonly known as chub, which
will be used on parasite research in the Medical Technology labs at OTI. Once a
year the biologist puts out the 125-foot five-section net to catch the fish for the re
search work. The net is set overnight to lessen the chance of interference from
boaters. It is left from 12 to 14 hours and picked up with the catch early in the morning.
