Greece (UPI i King Paul summoned political leaders today to seek a successor to Pre mier Constantine C'aramanlis, who resigned in a dispute over a pro jected royal visit to Britain. The King issued a proclama tion Tuesday night reaffirming his intention to visit Britain July 9-12 with Queen Frederika, despite a threat of demonstrations by ex iled Greeks and their British sym pathizers. Caramanlis had announced his resignation ear'icr, following a brief audience with the king at the royal palace which tlie pre mier said ended in "complete dk agreement." The premier had argued for weeks that the royal couple should oostoone or cancel the trip rather than risk a repetition of demon strations such as plagued Queen Frederika and Princess Irene when they went to London in late April for the wedding ot Britain s Princess Alexandra. The Greek queen and her daughter were accosted by dem onstrators demanding the release of Greek political prisoners, some , of whom have allegedly been in prison since the Communist bid for power in 1947. On one occasion. Queen Frederi ka and Princess Irene were chased by angry demonstrators and forced to seek refuge in the Lon don apartment of American ac tress Marti Stevens.
