Kiwanis, Thomas Dodge, Cola. B-P Grab Victories Kiwanis, Thomas DorlRc, Coca cola and Bend - Portland all notched w ins Tuesday night in the hiamatn f alls Little Leagues. Thomas Dodge stopped Crater Lake, 13-12, Kiwanis topped Mo tor Investment, 19-11, Coca Cola edged Weyerhaeuser-Gene's, 5-2. and Bend-Portland stopped! jein-wen, 8-5. aeon nausticn was the win ner for Thomas Dodge in allow, ing seven hits. J. Washburn lost on a six-hittcr. McLeary had three hits for Crater Lake while James Hill led the winners with two hits. Baustien struck out 14. Mighaccio got the win for Kiwanis. He got help from Til lery and they combined for an 11-hilter. The winners got 11 hits off three Motor Investment pitchers. :ngnaccio tripled lor the win ners as did Tillery who also had a double. Thurber also doubled for the winners. Malonev tripled lor tne losers and Childers and Coddington both doubled. Coca-Cola pitcher Jeff Knowles was the winner while Rickey Hines was the loser. Knowles also doubled and struck out 13 and starter Randy Windsor struck out 12 Coca-Cola batters. Mark Can ada had a triple for the winners. Peterson was the winner for' Bend-Portland and Matlick ab sorbed the loss. Peterson allowed only four hits while his team maics were pnunrjing out nine. Peterson struck out 15 and got (jacking trom McCann who horn cred. B. The weather at Odcll has been bad for the past two weeks but was due (0 take a turn for the better this week. Gold Lake opened last Saturday and the rainbow were very obliging. The fish taken averaged from 12 to k show-oftt 22 inches and were 111 very good shape. Davis Lake has been picking up with some nice rainbow and Atlantic salmon taken. Wet flics were best for both Gold and Davis lakes. Dick LaFeiste was the winning pitcher in giving up three hits. Both pitchers hurled three-hitters and had no-hitters or eight in nings. LaFeiste won his own game. He doubled and eventually scored on a squeeze play for the first run. A pair of errors led to the other two runs. He scored on the bunt laid down by John llnuk. LaFeiste stuck out all three hatters in the 10th frame and had 11 for the game in going the full route for the win. Kelly was the winning pitcher in going the route and giving up eight hits. He whiffed eight and walked only one. Ryan absorbed the loss on 10 strikeouts, but he walked eight which got him into trouble. Metier jumped off to a 1-0 lead the second but watched it di minish under a five-run attack by the Eagles in the third. They add ed two more in the fifth and one in the seventh. Green led the winners with a home run and a single. Clark added a pair of singles while Bennett slammed a triple and single and McKinnis.a double and single. Gourley had a tri-' pie for five losers. AiW dumped Interstate Oil on a seventh inning two-run rally for a 7-6 win. Fluhrer's Bakers toppled Malin, 7-5, while Superior Trov axed Chiloquin. 3-1, on a no-hit gome by Jerry Mathis. ine Bakers scored one run in their half of the fifth and final frame to hold onto the victory when Malin's last ditch charge leu shy by two ruivs. Dave Ko- vich went the distance for the pitching victory for the Bakers and gave up only four hits along the wav.
