MINTED PEAKS WITH LAMB CHOPS 1 can (1 pound) canned Bart lclt pear halves 'i teaspoon mint flavoring Green food coloring Grated cheddar cheese Drain pears, reserving syrup. Heat syrup, adding mint flavor ing and green food coloring to tint pale green. Pour heated syr up over pears, relrigcratc over night. Plaec minted pears on1 broiler rack after turning lamb chops. Cover; simmer until tender and all liquid is absorbed, about 2 hours, adding more liquid as necessary. This makes 4 servings. Chill for at least three hours to allow flavors to mellow. Serve on lettuce. Dual Purpose Canned Clings Whether served as a dessert or with the meat course. "Pink Peach Frosties" should hit the spot on a warm day. Chilled golden canned dins peach halves are filled with a tangy frozen mixture of canned cling syrup, melted red cinna mon candies and lemon juice. I'ink Peach Frosliei 1 can (1 lb. 13 oz.) cling peach halves cup red cinnamon candies 2 tablespoons lemon juice Drain peaches, reserving 1 cud syrup. Chill peaches. Heat sy rup and candies until candies are dissolved; cool. Stir in lemon juice. Pour into refrigerator tray and place in freezing compart ment with control set at lowest temperature. Freeze to musli consistency, stirring occasionally with a fork. When firm, reset temperature control to normal. Just before serving, fill chilled peach halves with frozen mixture.
