Some good marks were estab lished for future tracksters to take shots at. all the marks in this meet were considered records since this is the first an nual track meet put on by the PAGE 2 B HERALD AND NEWS, Klamath Falls, Oregon newly-formed Klamath Basin Athletic Association. Oregon St. Captures Baseball CORVALLIS i UPI i - Oregon State captured its second straight Nortlvem Division baseball title by apbtting a regular season-ending dotitileheader with Oregon Saturday. , The Beavers won the first game , 5-0 and tlie Ducks captured the second contest 4-S in It innings. The decisions left Oregon State with an 11-4 record in the division and Oregon with a 104 mark. Oregon State won the right to meet Southern California in a best-of-three game playoff series for the NCAA District 8 champion ship. Tlie playoffs will be held here next Friday and Saturday. Greg Scott, Bob Williams, Bob Moore and Mick ey Bender was clocked in 48.7 to win. KBAA team was second and Fremont third. Williams took the hurdles in flying style. He won the 120 yard lows in 14.9 and the 70-yard highs in 9.5. Bob Tucker was second in the lows in 15.2. The Vikings and wildcats con cluded their series today. Portland Stale, champion oi me Oregon Collegiate Conlerence, beat Northwest un.Ki um- winner Linfield in two siraigni contests last year and went on to finish second in the national play offs.
