7 Prosperity Lodge Meets Prosperity Rebekah Lodge met Thursday evening. May 2, in the Odd Fellows H"U with the meeting opened in rtfiular form by Char letto Anderson, noble grand. Plans It Hie district convention on June 18 were discussed. Time and vhee of the banquet will be announced later. Chairman Helen MrOirnack stated there were 12 members expected from Paisley, Committee reports were given on the spaghetti dinner on April 27 proceeds of which help with the United Nations Pilgrimage. District Deputy Olive Manna presented Helen McCornack with her seal of perfection on the un written work. During a recess, Edith Wiard in troduced Kent Calahan, who sang two hymns, accompanied by Geor gia Mill. A Mother's Day skit was given by eight sisters, who escorted their "adopted mothers" for the evening to the center of the floor. There, after a clever reading, each was introduced and present ed an orchid corsage. A surprise tribute and orchid corsage was presented to the no ble grand and vice grand. Naomi Fay and Retha Kirby then pinned an orchid on each lodge member. Participating in the p r o g r a m were Naomi ray, Rclha Kirby, Vera Clcmmcns, Louctta Schort- gen, Pcarle Jenkins, Ruth Law rence, Jaumta uindstcn, Ocorgi Mill, May Phinncy, Nellie Burritt, Bernice McCracken, France Munsell, Louise Humphrey, Ra mona Hanks, Harriette Estes, Pansy Jackson, Cora Swanson, Edith Wiard, Joyce Mill and Mary Wells. A special meeting of the Re bekah Social Club will be held Monday, May 13, for a potluck no- hostess luncheon in the 1 o d g dining room. At that time, plans will lie made for the convention. Elaine is president of her class, is in the top 10 of the graduating class, and is a member of the Pep Club, Speech Club, Girls Athletic Association and of the Elks debate panel. Serv ing as Mrs. Partlow's assistants are Mrs. John Lyons, food; Mrs. Howard Morris, clean-up; Mrs. Delbert Blake, dishes; Mrs. Don Paris, decorations; Mrs. Lar ry Burleson, publicity. Carol Fos ter, dean of women, is also serv ing on the committee as faculty adviser. The traditional colors of blue and gold w ill highlight the decora tion. Pouring at the reception will be Mrs. Winston Purvine, Mrs. Jack Douglass, Mrs. Jack Chur chill, Mrs. Paul Meier, Mrs. Ross Hcnnigar, Mrs. R. W. Bingham. and Carol rosier. Mrs. George Crowe will greet the graduates and friends at the guest book. The reception which is given by the Faculty Wives and Womens Club is held in honor of the grad uating class. All members of the class of 1913 and their families and friends are invited to the reception which immediately follows the graduation ceremony.
