The identify of Pelican Court was com
pletely loit on May 4 when the KUHS junior
class decorated it "Out of the Depths" for the
Junior-Senior Prom. Paintings of sea life, skin
divers, squid, coral and papier-mache turtles,
octopus and other marine creatures stood out
against the stark black walls to create a "bot
tom of the sea" atmosphere. Entrance was first
through a lovely garden, on into a cave, and
finally into the unusual ballroom setting. In the
picture above, Stephanie Olvera picks her
dance program from a treasure chest. With
her are Jim Sheridan, Bill Mayhew and Phyllis
Whitby.

Taucher, yell queen. Class treasurer Mari
lyn Patterson was also credited with much
of the art work for the prom. Class advisers
are Joan Foulon and Jack Peterson.
