The course was given as a part of community disaster prepared ness, instructed by Sgt. Charles E Johnson, food sen-ice supervisor at the Kingsley Field mess hall, and Sgt. Howard Simmons, veter inary service technician and a specialist in sanitation at King sley Field. The course was jointly spon sored by the American Red Cross nd the Klamath County Civil Defense. Following completion of the 10 hours of theory taught at the base, an actual feeding oper ation involving an additional six hours for students will be con ducted, with the date to be an nounced later. This demonstration will be planned to feed a mini mum of 100 persons with a typi cal meal, cooked and served un der disaster conditions. Equip ment including Army field ranges maintained locally will be used for preparation of the meal. Completion of the mass care feeding course is recommended for all members of the Red Cross canteen corps. Mrs. C. F. Cole, chairman of the group, was in charge of arrangements for the training. Enrolled in the first section of the course were Mrs. Wayne F. Newton, Mrs. Stephen Walker, Mrs. Earl Volaw, Mrs. Ray C. Bissell, Mrs. William L.
