It was his first start since he suffered a shoulder muscle spasm in a game against the Milwaukee Braves April 23. His "first" come back was his successful beginning this season after being sidelined 19ii2 by a numb and sore finger tip on his pitching hand. Dodger hitters with the help of five St. Louis errors had a productive night. The day before, their 16 hits did not win a game with Pittsburgh which triumphed 7-4. But Los Angeles' 13 hits were good enough for II runs Tuesday night. HSU's Coach Thomas Fired ABILENE. Tex. (UPH - Jack Thomas, who coached Hardin- .Simmons to its only football vie tory in the last three seasons was fired Tuesday for "failure to follow administrative directives in the conduct of the athletic pro gram." Thomas, who coached at Hardin-Simmons only one year compiled a 1-9 record in 1HK2. The virtory came after 27 straight defeats. George L.
