I DATE SET Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Ksrn, Klamath Falls, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their -daughter, Ranell, to David Vinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Vinson, also of this city. The wodding will take place June 15 in the Chapel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Klamath Falls. Both young people are grad uates of KUHS. The future bride attended Brigham Young University one year and is presently employed by Calif ornia Packing Company in San Francisco. Her fiance last June received his BB degree at University of Oregon where he has continued to study this year for his masters degree in history. The engagement news was told to his fraternity brothers at the spring formal of Sigma Phi Epsilon on the Oregon campus on May 3. vy. x O Chapel Rites Unite Couple The Sacramento Wedding Chap el was the setting for the double ring ceremony on April 21 which Joan Ommcrt became the bride of Gerald Dardcn. White gladioli decorated the altar for the candlelight ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. flay Ommcrt of Tule- lake, who were present for the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Dardcn, Sacramento, are par ents of the bridegroom. The bride's short gown of white taffeta was accented with bodice and long sleeves of lace. A crown of pearls and crystals' secured the short veil and she carried a cas cade of white orchids. Her attendants were her room mates, Nila Prudcn, Orovillc, and Susan Ratliff, Sacramento. They wore matching style frocks of light green and pale apricot taf feta. Each carried a bouquet of yellow gladioli. Bill Craft was best man and ushers were Steve Wheeler and tlie bride's brother, Darrcll Om mcrt. A reception in the chapel par lors was held immediately aft er the ceremony. The ncwlyweds spent their honeymoon in Neva da and Southern California. Among the out-of-town guests were Ine Bride s granaparcnis, Mr. and Mrs. 0. B. Ommert of Wciser. Idaho. NURSE - TO-BE Diane Bringle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs,. Dale J. Bleha, and 19 6 2 graduate of Klamath Union High School, recently received her nurse's cap in cere monies at Sacred Heart General Hospital School of Nursing in Eugene. APRIL NEWLYWEDS In Sacramento Wedding Chapel on April 21, Joan Ommert became the bride of Gerald Darden. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ommert of Tulelrfke. OFWC Meet Is Scheduled , . . ', , ' " ,-M BRIDE-ELECT The engagement of Linda Larson to William F. Hungate Jr. has been announced by her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Larson of Woodside, Calif. Mr. end Mrs. William F, Hungate Sr., Klamath Falls, are parents of the future bridegroom. Both young people are seniors at University of Oregon. The bride-to-be is affil iated with Sigma Kappa sorority. A fall wedding Is planned. EUGENE Plans and program for the 48th convention of the Oregon Federation of Women's Clubs are being announced by the president, Mrs. Melford M Nelson, Monmouth. This convention will be held May 8 and 9 at the Eugene Ho tel with the Eugene Federated Women's Club as hostess club. Other clubs of the Second Dis trict will assist. Airs. Jack W. Steward, president of the Eugene club, is general chairman. Here for the convention will be Mrs. William H. Hasebroock, West Point. Neb., first vice pres ident of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, and Mrs. Earl J. Hazelton, Orland, Calif., chair man of leadership mobilization for GFWC. Those women will peak and on May 9 will lead in the discussions at work shops. Mrs. Hasebroock, who is also president of the National Asso ciation of Parliamentarians, was in Oregon last fall visiting units of the national association. Others on the Eugene conven tion program aro Dr. Arthur S. Klcmming, president of the Uni versity of Oregon; Mrs. Hildrcd M. Zell, Wasco, chairman of the Council of International Clubs of the General Federation, and two Pan-Anwrlcan students who are studying at the University of Ore- gon on Oregon federation fel lowships, Ncliz Cuadra, Argen tine, and I r m a Monteverdc, Panama. District presidents ap pear on the first day's program. Membership participation is a planned part of the program. There will be a fashion show. Models will be clubwomen who have made the garments they wear, and competition is open to every club memoer. Audience ballot will determine the win ners. A chorus of singers from clubs over the state will re hearse during the convention and then appear on tlie banquet pro gram May 8. Grctchen Kreamer, Salem, fine arts department chairman, will direct the chor us. A third memncrsinp partici pation feature will be the work shops on May 9 when clubwom en will be given an opportunity for exchange of ideas qn all phases of club work. The junior clubs will have a Bacteria reproduce by simply pinching themselves in two. Some bacteria can reproduce every 13 minutes in this lashinn.
