lish elk in the Mumbo Basin in
western Siskiyou County. A request
has been made to the fish and
Game Commission to allow the
capture and transport of surplus
elk from the Humboldt County
herd. The Siskiyou County Board
of Supervisors has approved the
move and provided lunds trom ac
cumulated game fine money.

Silver Lake Citizens Join
In Purchase Of Fire Truck
SILVER LAKE Community

truck to serve this north Lake
County town. The population of
Silver Lake and environs is now

supplied at cost by the Silver
Lake Lumber Yard operated by
Doyle Havncs.
