Beginning May 1 through June 15 all county tuberculosis asso ciations will conduct the 196.1 RD campaign, an educational program designed to alert peo ple to the chronic cough-shortness of breath symptoms which may indicate the presence of a res piratory disease. Bids Asked For Water System Job Bids or construction of a cen tral water system to service the forest Service recreation area at Lake of the Woods are being called for by the Winema Na tional Forest. The proposed water develop. mcnt will include a central pump. ing station, storage tank, and main distribution lines to service the Aspen Point, Rainbow and Sunset Campgrounds on the west side of Lake of the Woods. Sealed b'ds for construction of this facility will be received by the Regional Forester in Portland not later than 4 p.m. Pacific Day light time May 15, 1963. Information concerning the pro posed development may be se cured from the Office of the For est Supervisor, 411 Main Street in Klamath Falls. Other recreation developments currently under contract at the Lake of the Woods area include water distribution line in the Aspen Point Camp and six rest- room buildings, also in the Aspen Point area. Work on these proj ects will be under way as soon as snow leaves the area. Work will be so scheduled as to inter fere as little as possible with the use of the campgrounds. When completed the water system and related facilities will add greatly to the total recreation develop ment at Lake of the Wuods. A Show-Me trip for interested bidders will be held Monday, May 6, starting at 10 a.m. The group will assemble at the Lake of the Woods Resort. The trip will pro vide an opportunity for interest cd bidders to review specifica tions of the proposed project.
