Rental Rates For Tule Fairground Facilities Explained By Board
TULELAKE In spite of some
rumors which have been circulat-:
ing around the community dur
ing the past two weeks, the rental
rates for the use of the
Home Economics building on the
Tulclake-Butle Valley fairgrounds
have not increased according to
Bill Whitaker, manager. Instead,
an increased service has been
added for large parties for which
a charge will be made. The rates
which are in existence now and
have been since it was first used
in 195S are as follows: Non-profit
organizations per day, $10; Pri
vate parties or commercial use,
$25.
Tiie only change made is that
for large functions such as ban
quets, where the tables andi
chairs are to be set up, or formal
dances where the hall is to be
completely decorated and an or
chestra hired, an additional $10
will be charged for which the
fair will employ a man who is
acquainted wilh the building to
perform the following services:
Set up tables and chairs, turn on
heat and lights, open the hall
one-half hour before guests ar
rive, be on hand all during the
event for emergencies, telephone
service, etc., and remove the
decorations and clean up the hall
and restack the tables and chairs
so the guests can go home after
the event without having to stay
to clean up. This charge will not
be made nor the services provid
ed for "after game dances" or
