The King of Hearts Ball, given annually by Job's
Daughters, Bethel 6, is staged usually in February near Valen
tine's Day. This year due to conflicting dates the affair was
postponed until March 9. For the evening, the Pine Grove
Room of the Willard Hotel was festooned with pink and red
streamers and heart motifs. A white runner led to the stage,
all in pink decor, where the royal court was introduced. Tra
ditional hearts bore the names of the king and his knights.
Entrance to the ballroom was gained through a huge pink
ruffled heart, shown as background for the five royal couples
on today's page.
