Klamath County 4-H Clubs Hold Regular Meetings I'lONKKR SKIVING CLUB The Pioneer Sewing Club had a Christmas party at Mrs. Don McGhehey's home on Dec. 22 and we all had a very rice time. On Dec. 21, Christmas Eve. the lead ers. Mrs. Charles Hurt. Mrs. Alan Leonard and Mrs. MeGhe hey, look three boxes of toys to a needy family. They were very happy over the toys. Tins was our community project. On Jan. 7, the club held a meet ing. There was no new or old business so we returned thanks had refreshments and sewed. Wanda McGhehey News Reporter. MAI. IN WOOL IRS The first meeting of the Malin Wool ics was held on Jan. 3, 1003. at the home of Mr. Tofell. Vice President Jeanne Stastny called the meeting to order. Under old business we discussed our record books which we all did very well on. Our secretary's book received a blue ribbon. New business was whether or not to elect officers. It finally passed with the votes coming out as follows: Jeanne Stastny, presi dent; Linda Kirkpatrick, vice president; Kristi Ottoman, secre tary; Patty Walker, treasurer, Linda Stastny, news reporter; Jimmy Ottoman, sergcant-at arms; Sharon Micka, recreation leader. At present there arc 10 mem hers. This year there are four new members: Shaion Micka, Kirk Kirkpatrick. Susan Dcrra and Margaret Ann Dlohm. Our leader is Mr. Emil Tofell, with assistant lenders, Mrs. James Ottoman and Mrs. Walter Stastny. The meeting was adjourned and refreshments served by Mrs. To fell. Linda Stastny, News Reporter. SWINE Cl.l'U The second regular meeting of the I.angell Valley Champs Swine Club was held Jun. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Art Struve to discuss per ccn' of gain on last year's i ll market hog proj ects. Steve Dolens, president, called the meeting to order. It was announced that March is 4 II Month, and ideas for displays to show this were presented. Mr. Dick Botens, club leader, listed possible goals, and the club de cided the ones they should achieve this year. The importance of permanent records for members was stressed, nnd summer camp and summer school scholarships avail able for eligible club members were explained. On Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Albert Scott, the next meeting will be held. Lydia Ttosamlich. News HcHirlor. YAKS' IMOII.KS The fourth meeting of the Yarn Doodles Knitting Club was called to order by Jan Collins, president. Mrs. Fairfield showed us a sweat er that she was knitting. We dis cussed the relationship of the size of needles used, to the size of your sweater.
