CHERRY BOMBE
1 quart vanilla ice cream,
softened i
' cup maraschino cherries.
halved and drained
Vt cup coarsely chopped wal
nuts 1 8-inch layer sponge cake,
cut in '4-inch strips
1-3 cup maraschino syrup
Sherry extract to taste
1 pint cherry ice cream
Line a chilled 1 '-.-quart spring
form pan or simple heart-shaped
mold with sliphtly softened vanil
la ice cream, leaving a deep hole
in center. Place cherry halves
and chopped walnuts on ice
Exciting Flavor
A pinch of dill weed and a beef
bouillon cute give tender canned
blue lake green beans an exciting
flavor. Drain off most of liquid
after heating beans and stir in a
heaping spoonful ' of dairy sour
cream. -

melting ice cream. Freeze until
firm. Place cake strips over ice
cream, pack firmly. Combine
cherry syrup and sherry extract
and pour over cake. Pack cherry
ice cream layer into mold on
top of cake: cover with foil and
freeze overnight or several hours
until firm. L'nmold by placing hot
towels around mold. Garnish with
whipped cream and cherries.
