United Fund Education o Division Reaches Goal 5 HERALD AND NEWS, Klamath Falls, Ore. Wednesday, Ortobrr II, Iftff PAGE J A Education Division of the 1962 1 Klamath County United Fund drive went over its goal at Mon day's report luncheon, adding S358 from the city schools to top the division's goal of J8.091. It be came the first entire division to reach 100 per cent in the current drive. United Fund stands at 62.2 per cent of its total fund-raising ef fort of $135,309 with only one week left in the campaign. Education Division is chair- manned by Paul Meier. Unit chairmen were Harold Ashley, city schools, and Ray Garrison, county schools. Meier also is unit chairman for Oregon Technical In stitute. OTI led the fund-raising field in the division with 120.3 per cent of its quota or $2,628. City schools, still incomplete, raised $2,791 or "fi.5 per cent of the $3.45 quota County schools, also incomplete. are at S7.6 per cent of their $3,059 quota with a total report of $2,632. Meier said that since the divi sion was not complete as yet, they will continue their solicita tion until each member of the respective school systems has "had a chance to share in this victory." Meier challenged other divisions to equal or surpass their accomplishment. Other divisions, listed in order of their percentage standings as of Monday noon: Chippcwas, 74.8 per cent; Chapter Plan. 72 8 per cent; Apaches, 65.16 per cent: Special Gifts. 61 per cent; Mo docs, 57.9 per cent: Professional. 53.3 per cent; Cheyenncs, 51.5 per cent; Mohawks, 46.7 per cent; Navajocs, 42.8 per cent: Wine mas, 36.3 per cent: Winnemuccas. 19.1 per cent; Crows. 15.2 per cent and Publjc Employes, 12.8 per cent.
