M.-jjds of honor for the twin rites were Judith Gilmer, sister of one bride, and Catherine Poe sister of one bridegroom. Judith Gilmer wore a champagne pink satin gown with net headpiece and matching slippers. Catherine Poe wore a sheer blue frock with tiara and matching slippers Both carried nosegay bouquets of roses. Jerry Vogt Jr., brother-in-law of Robert Berryhill, served as best man for both bridegrooms Tom and Mike Staub, brothers of one bride, seated the guests. Young cousins of Robert Berry hill, Martha Jane, Wesley Ann, Sarah Lee and Ellen Brooke Carlton, passed the traditional rice to the guests. The wedding reception was held In the Women's. Club at Carmel where a multi-uercd cake was cut by both couples. Among the wedding guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Berryhill and Mr. and Mrs. Dclwin Poe of Dunsmuir, parents of the bridegrooms. The new Mrs. Berryhill was graduated from Stanford UniAr sity in June arltl is currently employed by the Hcwlitt Packard Company in Palo Alto. Her hus band is a graduate of Dunsmuir High School and Stanford Univer- sity. He is a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and an as sistant engineer in research and design with Fairchild Electronic Corn, in Palo Alto. They will live in Atherton. The new Mrs. Poe is a grad uate of Clarcmont High School and has attended Chico State Col letre. Her husband is a graduate of Dunsmuir High School. He attended the University of Cal ifornia and recently has been i student of civil engineering at Chico State. Machines need at least once-a- year cleaning. If yours hasn't been cleaned lately, you might want to! go over it before undertaking a In of new fall sewing. Here are some tips. Cleaning consists of removing the lint and "gum" from all the mechanisms. Before you start study your instruction book to get well-acquainted with your own ma chine. ' Remove the thread, needle and bobbin. Take off the face plate or open the ncedlebar housing) and clean the mechanisms that control the needle bar, pressor bar and thread take-up. Remove the throat plate located directly under the pressor foot and covering the space around the feed dog. Brush out lint and use a toothpick to carefully remove any gummincss from the teeth of the feed. Next lift the head of the ma chine and clean the mechanisms underneath. Use a toothpick to re move bits of thread and lint from hard-to-reach places. Now, after you've cleaned out all the lint you can, you're ready to oil your machine. Never oil first. Your instruction book will show you where. Use only a light grade oil recommended by the manufacturer. Heavy, all-purpose or general household oils collect lint more readily. Adjust the tension and stitch length, if necessary, and your ma chine should be ready to run quietly and smoothly. After ma chine is cleaned run it on fabric scraps to remove excess oil. Cfuth Larson and Theodore B Case recited their wedding vowsi in a double ring ceremony read by the Rev. Robert Groves Aug 27 at the First Presbyterian Church. She Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Larson. The bridegroom is the son of T. D, Case and the late Mrs. Mary Case. Case-Larson Vows Recited l)nPar.d white gladioli decorat ed the altar for the 2:30 candle light ceremony in which ttie bride was given in marriage Dy ner father. Her gown was fashioned with long sleeved Chant illy lace bodice over a full skirt of organza, accented at intervals with lace I appliques. Seed pearls trimmed' the scalloped neckline. A pearl crown held the shoulder length1 veil. For the bridal bouquet, a white orchid was centered in a cascade of white stephanotis. The bride's sole attendant, Mar. jorie Harkins of Oakland, wore a short princess style frock of ice blue polished cotton with match ing headpiece and slippers. Her bouquet was a cascade of white gladioli. Dr. Calvin L. Hunt was best man. Ushers were Charles Finch and Robert Graves, Merrill. Organist was Mrs. A. F. Her-ringshaw. The bride's mother wore a roy al blue two piece shantung en semble with a corsage of pink rosebuds. Gladioli decorated the church parlors for the reception after the service. Serving the wedding cake were Mrs. Arthur Cherry and Mrs. Tom Zinn. At the coffee services were Mrs. Arthur Wil liams and Mrs. Richard Gilcrist. Pouring punch was Mrs. Bill Wil- Leaving for a honeymoon on the Oregon Coast, the new Mrs. Case wore a navy blue suit, matching Accessories and the white orchid from her bouquet. The newlyweds are making thcir home at 2062 Lavey Street. Guests from out-of-towll included Mr. and Mrs. Scott Reed and Tara. Coeur d'Alene;; Mrs. Pa tricia Case, Steven, Mary and Mrs. Oliver Larson, Chico; Mrs. John Larson and Teresa, Fair-' banks, Alaska; Mr. and Mrs. L. V. MeCummsey. Portland.
