The 8 o'clock ceremonv was officiated by Dr. E. Harold. The bride is the daughter of former Klamath Falls residents. Mr. and Mrs. Lester B. Cofer of Portland. She is the granddaugh ter of Mrs. Adeline Cofer and the niece of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Backes of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis C. Heidrich, Klamath Falls, are parents of the bridegroom. The bride's weddirtg gown was princess style with stand-up Em pire collar and chapel train. The bodice was detailed with lace cut work. A taffeta rose headpiece held the bouffant elbow length veil and she carried an arm bou quet of white long-stemmed roses with white ribbon streamers. five attendants in princess aqua silk organza frocks and car rying long stemmed pink roses preceded the bride to the altar Back interest to the dresses was created by a half crescent of self material roses gathered into a; semi-bustle. Matron of honor place was taken by the bride's sister, Mrs, Rich ard Iverson, Bridesmaids were Mrs. William Speer, Mrs. Betty Halbert, Aida Zurita and Nancy Junken. Men in the wedding party includ ed William Heidrich, the bride groom's brother, who was best man, and Edward Kay, Mel Wei ter, Dale Murphy and Claude Smith Jr., who were ushers, Candles for the ceremony were lighted by Mrs. Beth Franseth and Mrs. Diane Sturdevant. Their pink organza dresses were styled like those of the attendants. Head pieces of pink silk organza roses on bands and wrist corsages of pink roses completed their attire Dressed like the- bridesmaids and carrying a basket of pink ros es was the flower girl, Sandra Sneer. Th newlyweds greeted their guests at a reception and buffet upper at the home of the bride s parents before departing for a honeymoon to Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. The couple will make their home in Portland where he is employed since at tending Oregon State University The bride is a former stewardess with Alaska Airlines. Klamath Falls residents present for the wedding included the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Heidrich; Mr. and Mrs. A. ' C. Backes, Mrs. L, D. Gass, Mrs. Ida Grimes and Mr. and Mrs. Loy Barker. TU 4-3211 Weed Scene Of BPW Meet WEED A crowd of 100 women attended the Northern District, Federated Business and Profes sional Women's Clubs meetingl Sept. 16 - 17 in Weed and hosted by the Weed and Mount Shasta BPW clubs. Mrs. M. Cravens Douglass, first, vice president of the State Fed eration. BPW, was main speaker! at the meeting in Sons Memorial Hall, decorated to carry out a "Harvest Moon" theme. She spoke on the forthcoming stale conclave in Los Angeles. Appearing on the opening Sat urday program were the , Rev James Vaughan, Holy Family Catholic Church, who gave the invocation; W. E. Hansen, Weed city administrator, who gave the welcome, and Mrs. H. C. (Cee) Strothcrs, Northern District presi dent, who presided over the two- day conclave. A realistic scene of spotlighted autumn displays by Mrs. James Brunello provided a backdrop (or Saturday night's banquet. Enter tainment included singing, square dancing, dances and skits. ' Workshop sessions met at 9: a.m. Sunday following presidents and chairmen breakfasts at the Y-Cafe and Lou's Cafe. At the Sunday luncheon Mrs. Ellen Tup- per. Weed, gave an informative history ot Weed and Siskiyou counties. Mrs. Gene Rizzo, president of the Weed BPW, served as general chairman of the event. Committee members were Mrs. Hazel Cates, credentials; Mrs. Virginia Deskin, Mrs. Bertha "Brown, Mrs. Rizzo. decorations and badges; Mrs. Ev elyn Mason and Mrs. Gladys Ri ley, publicity and corsages; Mrs. Rena Santini, hospitality hour; Mrs. Emmeline Ganim and Mrs. Bertha White, hostesses; Mrs. Louise Harris, registration; Mrs. Deskin, invitations; Mrs. Louise Abramson, entertainment; Mrs, Brown and Mrs. Rizzo, programs; Mrs. Adams, music.
