Husband Angered By Hog's Death By ANN LANDERS Dear Ann Landers: Last Thurs day was one of the hottest days in1 our city's history. Our wonderful 14-year-old collie was in the yard as usual. I had to fill his water pan three times. About mid-afternoon he began to whine so I let ' Jm him in the house, He looked at me pleadingly, pant ed a few times and then rolled over and died. Blaze was like member of the family. It took all my strength to call my neigh bor and ask her to bury him which she did. ' When my husband came home I told him about Blaze. He turned on me like a maniac. He said I was stupid not to call a vet. He claims the vet might have saved him. I tried lo explain Blaze, dropped dead before I knew any. thing was wrong but he refused to listen. My husband then went to thei phone and called his mother and sisters and told them that my stupidity had killed the dog. Noth ing I said seemed to get through. I'm really annoyed at him for making me out to be a nut. Any advice?-WILMA. Dear Wilma; Your' husband Is distraught over the death of the dog and he is reacting In a child like manner placing the blame on the handiest party. A dog 14 years old Is equivalent to a hu man being of 98. I'd say Blaze lived a good, full life. Go out and buy another collie as soon as possible. Name him Blaze Jr. and tell your husband to button his lip already. Dear Ann Landers: I'm getting pretty fed up on the actions of a .certain man who has been com ing over to play cards with my father for as long as I can re member. He always brings me a sack of candy as if I were 2 years old. I'm 13 now and I think it's time he stopped trying to kiss me on the lips and pull me onto his lap. I told my mother that maybe this was all right when I was a baby but I'm a young lady now. and I hate it. I also told her that If he doesn't stop pawing me I am going to sock him right in the "THE BEST BLOCKBUSTER OF THE YEAR ...RIPS .THE HEART!" BOSLCV CROWTHER. If he doesn't get in line tell your fa ther to give htm the mesiage man to man. Dear Ann: I'm a bride of two months who needs your opinion. I attended college in the southeast and graduated three years ago. Since then I have carried on. a rather extensive correspondence with college friends both male and female. ' It is my turn to answer several of these letters but my husband says a married woman should not correspond with males, even If It is platonic. I'd hate to lose track of these people because they are good friends. Our letters have a! ways been strictly informational and I was never romantically in volved with any of these fellows Do you feel that my husband Is right? He calls it "preventive surgery. MRS. A. W.
