Money Ready For Farmers VREKA Additional money is available to help eligible farm ers who need it in their farm ing operations, states James K. Walker, county supervisor (or the Farmers Home Administration. He said a 35 million dollar con tingency fund provided by the 1961 Agricultural Appropriations Act has just been released by the FHA to meet growing de mand for credit. , The action was taken to make sure no qualified 'family type" farmer will be required to give up farming due to lack of funds. The amount of operating loans so far made this year has reached a total 20 per cent high er than the same period last year, said Walker. The agency's biggest lending season is at hand as farmers prepare to start spring work. Most applications so far this year have been for loans to buy cattle. Operating loans help farm ers pay for equipment, livestock. feed, seed, fertilizer, tractor fuel and other farm and home oper ating needs, including refinancing of chattel debts, said Walker. More information is available from the FHA office in Yreka, Room 11, Warrens Building, 111 South Broadway. fyrrn ; - " -.;r. , ; .r I HA iff f-' .-.i, -y ' 1 M ' ftwil 1 1 mn.i ' i, iMfflh nil -t iinriiiiitn-M it n ilmnnmii .oAiBH ttiiiii .1 THE ANNUAL Dunsmuir High School play this year is "Girl Crazy" and will be pre. sontod to the public on March 10 and I I.
