prong plea: innocent of the

fused to get in the ambulance, he
left to spend the night at a mo
tel, Howlett said.

later complained to police that
her husband had left home, and
wanted them to do something
about it. She also talked a half
hour by telephone to her brother
in Houston, Texas, he said..
An hour later neighbors heard
her shouting for help, and saw
her house in flames. Neighbors
rescued her and one child.
Her husband, her brother Alvin
Jr., and her father, Alvin M.
Owsley, retired Dallas, Texas,
attorney, were in the state circuit
court room with her. Her father'
formerly was U.S. minister to
Ireland, Denmark and Romania.
