Floy Johnston ; Heads Rebekahs YREKA -Election of officers for Hope Rebekah Lodge Jo. 33 high lighted the Christmas party meet ing held Dec. 13. Floy Johnston was elected noble grand. She will be installed to that office on Jan. ..., Other officers elected were Mrs. Mary Bovne, vice grand; Mrs. Velma Dodson, recording secre tary; Mrs. Berneice Meek, finan cial secretary, and Mrs. Ora Free man, treasurer. Also during the business session which was conducted by Mrs. Alice Singleton, noble grand, the mem bers voted to send a check to the orphans home in Gilroy for the purchase of Christmas toys. After the close of the business cession a ' Christmas party was held in' the dining room of the IOOF Hall, where the party ta bles were centered with minia ture green Christmas trees and pink stars. Gifts were distributed and secret pals were revealed. - The decorations were creations at Mrs. Ei nest Johnson, who, with her husband, wag co-chairman for the party., Grange Club Has Election YREKA Election of officers fori 1961 highlighted the business ses sion of the Greenhorn Grange Home Economics Club, which was conducted by Haldis Ralston. The meeting, which was followed with a Christmas party, took place at the home of Mrs. Laura Cawley, with Mrs. Becky Coles sharing hostess duties. Mrs. Haldis Ralston was re elected chairman. Mrs. Jessie Ter-! williger is vice chairman; Mrs. Laura- Cawley, secretary, and Mrs. Becky Coles treasurer. Members voted to conduct a se ries of card parties to start Jan. 12. Mrs. Cawley had her home beautifully decorated in the Christ mas theme for the Pec. 16 event, which consisted of a short Christ mas program, an exchange of gifts and the serving of refresh ments.
