FAOC HERALD ANt.NEWI, Klamath Palls, Oregon Wedneaday, Dm. tl, lies Klamath Dog Fanciers Await Approval Of Obedience Tests Approval of iU first sanctioned obedience match from the Amer ican Kennel Club is awaited by by Klamath Dog Fanciers, Inc. After approval is received, a date will be set for the second sanc tioned match required by AKC rules before the club can include obedience trials along with the annual Labor Day weekend all breed dog show next year. The second match will be held, probably, in late May or early June as six months must elapse between matches. More than SO spectators turned out recently to watch Mrs. Mar garet Jones of Medford judge the novice and open classes at the Klamath County Fairgrounds. A German Shepherd, which won high honors in the local dog club's obedience training course last summer, scored 194 points out of a possible 200 to win high points in the Novice A Class. The dog's owner is Bob Embree of Klam ' ath Falls. Second place went to a Pomeranian owned by David Penny. A Collie, owned by Mrs. Robert F. Starbuck, wife of the club's president, won high points in the Novice B Class with 188 points. Both Open A and B classes were won by Medford entries. May 1 Brown, with a Shetland sheep dog, Plea Of Guilty Finally Spoken Robert Allen Woodford finally took an attorney's advice Tues day and entered a plea of guilty to the burglary of the Klamath Falls Army Store, 320 South Sixth Street. Woodford, 21, San Jose, Monday said he was "not satis fied" with court appointed attor ney P. K. Puckett. Circuit Judge David R. Vandenberg Tuesday granted a motion by Puckett that he be replaced. Donald A. W. Pi per was appointed to defend Woodford. The young burglar returned to court. Tuesday afternoon and ad mitted breaking into the store and stealing a pistol and a pair of binoculars. He will be sentenced Friday morning, -v- took the former with 189'4 points, and Kathryn Nelson's Collie was high point winner of the match with 196tt points. Mrs. Vernon Rcllan of Klamath Falls was show chairman. A total of 170 points, which must include 50 per cent ol every exercise, is required as a passing score, ac cording to Mrs. Reitan. Those activities are for boys nine years of age through high school age, except for swimming periods, during which boys six years of age through high school age wOi be welcome.
