Crosswalks Are Okayed MAUN Acting on recommen dation of local high school stu dents; Malin city councilmen, dur ing a recent meeting, approved painting crosswalks at the Third Street intersection with Lakeview and Railroad streets here. Malin High School students pre viously had elected youngsters to fill positions of city officials for one day Nov. 22. The painting recommendation was among sev cral others submitted. Other recommendations will be acted on during future meetings. Councilmen also endorsed appli cation to the state Liquor Control Commission by Cy McColgin of Malin C&E Market for a pack ages store Class A liquor license. And they voted to ask Klamath Irrigation District (KID) to re place the city's irrigation turnout in the canal at the north side of Block 31. In other action, councilmen vot ed to build a fence along the east boundary of the sewage disposal property, heard a report from Ival Taylor concerning a traffic court conference in Medford, dur ing which bail schedules and uni form traffic ticket systems and other laws affecting motor vehic les were discussed, and talked over requirements concerning the city's trailer house ordinance.
