Thornton, Oregon altornc; general, said today he would ask Postmaster General Arthur E. Summerfield to hold up the mov ing of the Northwest Regiona1 Post Office from Portland, Ore, to Seattle, Wash. .Before meeting this afternoon with Si'mmerficld, Thornton saic he would ask him to delay the move pending a public hearing. ;He said he would "express the dissatisfaction on both sides of the political aisle in Oregon" with the DrnDosal. . Thornton added he had talked about the move with all Oregon members of Congress, members of the House and Senate Post Office committees, and other officials. He said he had also been inves tieating legal aspects of the pro- nosed move, but declined to elaborate.
