(UPI) - Those old postage stamps that Uncle John collected and which now may be reposing In your at tic might make some wounded U.S. veteran happy this Christ mas. At the largest naval hospital in the U.S. at San Diego, doctors have found that wounded and ill servicemen who become interest' 'ed in collecting stamps make quicker recoveries than thev would otherwise In fact, most of the doctors have become collectors them selves. The San Diego County Chapter of the American Red Cross spon sors the program and a stamp club which has been formed at the hospital. But most of the col lectors there cannot afford to buy stamps. This is where the public comes In. Just bundle any foreign or interesting stamps you may have and mail them to the Naval Hos pital Stamp Club, Building 7, U.S. Kaval Hospital, San Diego 34. But don't send any common 1, ?. 3, or 4-cent U.S. postage stamps. They are of no interest to collectors.
