The tea table at which Mrs. Merle Swansen presides was striking in its decor of rich autumn colors. Lovely chrysanthemums in yellow, orange and bronze tones were arranged between pale rose-beige tapers in silver candelabra as a centerpiece. The table covered with brown lace over a burnt orange background held silver trays of dainty sandwiches and cakes all accented with the same fall colors. Others pictured, left to right, are Mrs. Bill Milne, Mrs. Wendell Smith, Mrs. Richard Maxwell and Mrs. Rufus Quillen. Mrs. Wyatt Padgett and Mrs. Neal Black were tea chairmen. Others presiding at the tea table besides Mrs. Swansen were Mrs. Ray Reeves, Mrs. Robert Greene, Mrs. Bill Milne, Mrs. James Patterson, Mrs. Horace Getz, Mrs. Warren Bennet and Mrs. John Renning. I ' r . MR. AND MRS. CHARLES F. HEILBRONNER, pictured in the foreground above, were married October 9 in the Walnut Creek Methodist Church in a quiet cere mony attended by their families. The bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. t-red Hoil bronner, are shown with them at the reception in their honor October 12 at the home of the bridegroom's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Robinson, 2030 Van Ness. The new Mrs. Heilbronnor, the former Dorothy Kirkpatrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ferguson of Walnut Creek, is employed as supervisor in the telephone company in that city. She was attended at hor wedding by Carrie Heilbronner, now teaching in Hayward. Charles is staff engineer in the utility department of U.S. Steel Company in Pittsburgh.
