Poster, Essay Winners Told i The district winners for thef Oregon Federation of Garden Clubs poster and essay contests, were announced this week. Oavid Ganger of Tulelake Hiyh School won first prize with his poster. In the grade school poster divi-: jiion first place went to Judy Prosser of Newell School. Second place went to Kaihy C'hilcote of Roosevelt School and third place to Tommy Carnes, Altamont School. Honorable mention was award ed to Sheryl Jean (.'off man, Al turas, and Maria Cnstel, Sacred Heart Academy. j In the high school essay contest (Pmil Brown of Tulelake High School was first. The grade school essay first place was won by Barbara Hob erts of Newell School. Sheila Shcl-j don of Altamont placed second i and Joyce Smith of Fairview 1 School, third. Receiving honorable mention were Relty Coon, Roose velt, and Susan Olson, Alturas. The first place posters and es says will be sent to the Oregon Federation of Garden Clubs for stale competition. Judges for the district contest were Mrs. J. R. Miller, Mrs. Charles Thurman and Mrs. Doris h. Miller.
