' Hermic Foster who retired as local chief freight office cleric. Foster was born in Ager, California, and began his railroad career in 1918. He was a member of a family of five boys and one girl, all of whom worked for the railroad. His father also was a railroad employe. Together, the family represents more than 200 years service on the railroad. Here, wellwishers from his department and others teamed to present him with this mouth-watering engine and coal tender. On Foster's left is his wife, Mabol, and at his right, local freight agent W. S. McBride. Friends also gave him a transistor radio. (Ciinlinued Irnm Page I) .ties.
