Photo by Guderian Girl Scout Head Speaks To Club CHEMULT The Chcmult Com munity Club held its March meet ing at the Do-Drop-In Cale in Bea ver .Marsh with Irene Fletcher and her daughter, Delphine. as host esses, on the evening of March 2. Airs. Cap .lessup, president, con ducted a business meeting and in troduced the guest speaker. Mrs. Harriett Rrotherhood of Klamath Falls, who is the council director of the Girl Scouts for the Klam ath Area. She took time to ex plain the work of the Girl Scouts, and the Brownies, so that all would thoroughly become acquainted with the need for scouting in any girl's life and would want to make the effort to have the work carried on in any community no matter how small or how few girls there might he. The women of the community club agreed to try to raise money DINNER PARTY LANG ELL VALLEY Mr. and Mrs. Wcs Dearborn entertained with a dinner .March 12. in hon or of the birthday of Mrs. Mike Dearborn and a farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Graves who have moved to Klamath Falls. A so cial evening followed the dinner. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dearborn. Ted, Paul and Mark, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Graves, Mrs. Galen HuU and Becky of St. Hel ens. Albert Dearborn of Emmett, Idaho. Mrs. Ruby Brown and Fred and Henry Dearborn. BABY SHOWER GREENYIEW Mrs. Dorothy Rickey, Quartz Valley, was given a baby shower at the home of Jlrs. Ed Preston in Etna with Mrs. Preston and Mrs. H. Carter hostesses. Those present were Mrs. Pick Smith. Mrs. Al Keep, Mrs. Kita Campbell. Mrs. Eleanor Whip ple, Sarah Sue Whipple, Evelyn Edwards, Mrs. George Mc.MuHcn. Hose White and Mrs. Sophie Black. Eleanor Lewis and Anny Wilson were unable to attend. by having the food concession at the Chemult Rod and Trap Club grounds each Sunday that the men shoot and a committee was ap pointed. Sunday School will resume ses sions at 2:30 p.m. each Sunday beginning March 20 at the Com munity Club building in Chemult. The Rev. Henry Cash of Crescent is the leader assisted by Mrs. So phie Long and Mrs. Ray Darnell of Chcmult and Mrs. Esther Gud riat and Mrs. Katie Taylor. Cres cent. Chemult Sunday School is nonricnominalional and affiliated with the American Sunday School Union plan for rural communities. Reminders Given To Club Members Last minute reminders of the several important dates of spring functions are given to members of the Klamath Yacht Club and Reames Country Club. All past commodores and their ladies are invited as special guests at the Decennial Dance March 2B at the Yacht Club. Guest of honor will be Louis Kandra. The time is 8:.10 p.m. In use will be the 10th anniversary gift from the An chor Club, a stereophonic hi-fi sys tem. Anchor Club momhers have also arranged an elaborate smor gasbord to be served around mid night. Commodore Larry Whyial re minds members all to be on deck lor the cleanup davs April 2-3 and !1-10. These days are family days and picnics are in order or lunch will be available at the club. Come rain or shine, the women of Reames will open the golfing season with a kickoff breakfast beginning at 9:45 a.m. on Friday. March 25. Mildred Merryman and Pauline Pcrnell, tournament chair men, promise something unusual this year for the breakfast. Bridge players are especially invited to enjoy the get-together belore the afternoon play. No special golf play is scheduled until April 8. Another date for Reames wom en to note is April 1. the annual spring luncheon, in charge of Mrs. Charles Alward. Luncheon will be served at 1 p.m. following a so cial hour. A spring style show will be given by Whytal's. ' S - X Ul MODELS for the college preview for junior girls of Klamath County to be given by the AAUW March 26 will include these three, left to right, Mrs. Larry Amundson, Mrs. George Clark and Mrs. Jack Warrick. Ordinary barber shears are used by Mrs. Kinstry to fashion curls and lacy forms which turn into original decorations. It was decided that the club will participate in K-LAD community club awards program. Leta Stoltz was appointed chair man. Members and their friends were asked to put qualified re ceipts for the program in a box in the Goodyear Store in Merrill. Everyone is welcome at the club meetings the first Thursday of1 each month at 2 o'clock.
