The tickets will be 75 cents for the play to start at I p.m. Prizes will be given and refreshments served. March 14, at 2 p.m. in HAZ-BINS The Haz-bins met at the home of Lola Truax, 540 Division Street, on February 22 with six members and two guests present. After a short business meeting two tables of pinochle were in play. High score for the evning was held by Stella Persell, second by Bea Nelson and low, Betty Kets dever. Sara Kirby received the guest prize and 3nn pinochle prizes went to Sadie May Wallace and Mable Ward. The next meeting will be at the home of Betty Ketsdever, 1028 Jef ferson Street, on March 28. the city library auditorium. "The Dress Doctor" is an aulobiogra phy by Edith Head, chief design er for Paramount Studios. Edith Head has won several academy awards for her designing. Some of the famous motion picture stars for whom she. has designed clothes are May West and Clara Bow of earlier years and the newer stars, Lauren Bacall and Princess Grace. She writes of her experiences de signing costumes as well as her suggestions on right choice of dress, what a dress does for you She has become known to many as an analyst of style by her many appearances on Art Link letter's daytime show, The House Party. Also at this meeting will be the judging of the dresses for the Gen eral Federation of Women's Clubs Fashion Sewing Contest. Clayton Hannons Welcome Son Word arrived in Klamath Falls Friday, March II, of the birth of a son. their first, early that morning, to Mr. and Mrs. Clavlon Hannon of Portland. The young man, horn at 1:21 a.m. at (he Portland Sanitorium, weighed sev en lbs., three ozs., and has been named Robert Paul. He has an older sister, Linda, almost 4. The baby's father is a former Herald and News sports writer and is now on the Oregonian-Ore- gon Journal staff. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George Fawver and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hayden, all of Klamath Falls. 0 WE?-,!' r'M A SURPRISE RECEPTION followed the regular moot ing of 'he Royal Neighbors of America on February 24. Honored were Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. McEntire, shown cutting a wedding cake, who were married February 20 in Reno. Mrs. McEntire is the former Charlotte Car michael. Serving the cake was Thelma Colvin and presiding at the coffee services were Viola Nelson and Bertha Strife. Assisting were Martha Pereau and Pauline Norman. The guest book was attended by Mary Tennant. Klamath Coed Named To Board Suzanne Goeller was one of five women chosen to serve on the Stu dent Board of Reference, judici ary branch of Associated Women students, at Oregon Slate College. The board is composed of nine women students. New members are chosen each winter term to fill vacancies of graduating board members. Selections are based on character, personality and activities.
