Cecil Adams, Mrs. Louis Serruys and Mrs. Robert Thomp fon. Guests were asked for coffee in the morning or tea on the afternoon of Wednesday, February 10, at the Thompson home, 660 Loma Linda Drive. Hostesses and those assist ing wore unusual Valentine heart corsages. The same hearts filled with colored baubles were tied to a branch tree for an effective coffee table arrangement. White flowers and red ones in pretty vases were about the rooms. MRS. H. H. King. Kay is a graduate of Henley High School and of Whitworth College at Spokane, Washington. She is presently teaching at Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Washington. Her fiance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe R. King ef Paris, Texas, was recently stationed at Kingsley Field while serving in the Air Force. He is a graduate of Texas A and M College with degrees in petroleum and mechanical ngineering. He is now employed by the Tidewater Oil Com pany at Odessa, Texas. A summer wedding is planned. C. Jones, and Mrs. George Hillis. Guests were served from a table centered with a dainty arrangement of pink rosebuds and violets between tall pink candles. Presiding at the silver services were Mrs. John Ashley, Mrs. Estin Balsiger, Mrs. C. John Cox and Mrs. Lawrence Slater in the morning, and Mrs. W. O. Smith, Mrs. Wilford Lamm, Mrs. V. E. O'Neill and Mrs. Frank Jenkins in the afternoon. Sunday, Feb. 21, 1960 AT A VALENTINE PARTY, February 13, in the Pelican Party Room, Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Teale of 1935 Auburn Street, announced the engagement of their daughter, Patricia Ann, to Richard C. Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Meyer of Salem. Patricia attended the Univer sity of Oregon and Oregon State College from which she was graduated. She is a member of Alpha Phi sorority. Her fiance, also a graduate of OSC, is affiliated with Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. The betrothed couple reside in the Bay Area, she in San Francisco and he in Berkeley. Campbell in Bly was the engage ment of their daughter, Barbara Anne, to Bernard John La Casse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. La Casse of John sondale, California. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Maryl. hurst College in Portland and is presently teaching ele mentary music in the Ontario, Oregon, schools. Her fiance, a graduate of Fresno State College, is teaching in the Bly area where the young couple will reside following their August wedding. Left to right are Mrs. C. W. Evans, vice chairman; Mrs. E. A. Guamera, secretary - treasurer; Mrs. George Yahraus, chairman. Mrs. Evans and her committee arranged clever table decorations for the din. ner using pots of flowers with sails to depict boats. On the walls were displayed the club flags. A fire in the huge fireplace added a cheery note for the evening of dancing to stereo music which followed dinner. I
