LOGSDEN, 3212 Autumn Avenue, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Judith Nell, to Ralph McKune, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. McKune of Klamath Falls. Both young people, graduates of Klamath Union High School, are sophomore students at Central Washington College of Education in Ellensburg. The bride elect is an English student and her fiance is majoring in music. Their wedding will be an event of September. ' , Photo by Miller-Williams Plans Told For Nupiials The date of February 1 lias been chosen by Ruth Anne Axtcll for her marriage to Jim Drake, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Drake of Klamath Falls. Their engagement was announced earlier In San Di ego by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. George K. Axlell. The ceremony will be at the Church of Christ in San Diego where the future bridegroom is stationed with the Navy. The bride to-be is a student at San Diego Junior College. Fashion Sewing Program Topic All women are invited lo the fashion sewing program of the Klamath Falls Woman's Library Club on Monday. February 8, at 2 o'clock in the city library auditor ium. Mrs. L. E. Spcnce will be chairman for this demonstration which is held in connection with the Federated Womens Clubs and Vogue Pattern service sewing con test. Many phases of fashions will be discussed which will be valu able in sewing as well as buying clothes. i f S9 mmm CONGRATULATIONS were extended to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dingman during an open house at the W. Photo by Guderian Two Mark Dat At Open House On January 15, 1935, LaCele Biehn and Ray Dingman, both na tives of Klamath Falls, were mar ried in a ceremony performed by the late County Judge George Grizzle. This year, 25 years later, on January IS, the couple w a honored at an open house at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Car ter, 328 South Rogers, close friends of the couple. Also hostesses were Mrs. Dingman's sisters, Mrs. J. W. Ward, Mrs. Jack Benner, Mrs, Alan Davis and Mrs. Cora Cody. Approximately 100 friends called during the hours of 2:30 and S o'clock and were served a hand some cake decorated with white and silver and pink roses by Mrs. E. L. Kurth. Assisting with Mrs. Kurth was Mrs. R. Thornton. Bar bara Cody, niece of Mrs. Dingman, was in charge of the guest book. The Dingmans, who have resid ed in this city since their m a r riage, have one daughter, Mrs. Curtis Lockrem of Wilmington, California, and three grandchil dren. HOLIDAY VISITORS at the home of their son. Sgt. Charles Bennett and his fam- ily, were Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Bennett of Silvertown. They are pictured with their grandchildren, Deirdre Marie, in front left, and Marcia Ann, right. Advis ers for this term are Relha Kirby and Donna Odell. Florence Warrington was the in stalling officer, assisted by Sharon Odell, Donna Odell and Kathleen Waggoner. i Entertainment included a ballet by Emilie Pastega and a piano solo by Sandra Ruconich... The Installation opening was giv en by Ruth Ann Leib and the candles were lighted by Lynn Kir by and Carol Leib. The guest book was presented to the club by the Rebekah Lodge and was attended by Deanna Salvestrin and Nancy Wise. In charge of programs were Donna Fay and Maxine Kramer. Mrs. George Blanas was respon siblc for the decorations. All girls wore corsages presented by Don na Fay. Mrs. Ed Bell Speaks To Group Mrs. Ed Bell of Garcclon's, as- istcd by Mrs. Rodney Bell, gave alk entitled "How to be your own decorator" at a meeting of the City Faculty Wives on Monday evening, January 11, at the home of Mrs. Jack Kemnitzcr. The guest speakers showed the use of wall paper and color in showing the new things in paper with emphasis on murals. At the close of the talk some very inter esting slides were shown on room arrangement and interior decorat ing. Hostess committee members for the evening were Mrs. Howard Strode, chairman, Mrs. Lcland Agcnbroad and Mrs. Kristian Gip po.
