"Pat" Durgin, 61, former Klam alh Falls resident who died Janu ary 25 in Medford, will be held at 9.30 a.m. Friday, January 29. with the Rev. Harold Sanner, pas. tor of the First Church of the Naz arene, officiating. Final rites and interment at Kirby, Oregon. The Conger-Morris Funeral Home, Jledford, is in charge. Mr. Durgin lived in Klamath Falls from 1935 to 1954. He was a native of Haverhill, Massachu setts. Survivors include the widow, Jo ephine, Medford; two daughters, Mrs. Beth Griss, Hines, Oregon, and Mrs. Ruth Masterson, Burns; his mother, Mrs. Grace Durgin, Medford; sisters, Mrs. Persis Voel ike, Knowlcs, Oklahoma; a half brother, Reginald Green, Long Beach, and three grandchildren. Dog Fanciers Name Chiefs Robert Starbuck, a licensed structural and civil engineer who, with his wife, Lynn, likes, raises and shows good dogs, was elected as president of Klamath Dog Fan ciers, Inc., at the group's annual meeting earlier this month. He succeeds Mrs. Bob McDonald who becomes chairman of the board of directors. New vice president is Mrs. Roy Birdsong and Mrs. Leonard Allen was reelected secretary-treasurer. Other board members are Mrs. Tom Gigsby, Mrs. Gay Nichol and Jim Grigsby. Roy Birdsong. is bench show chairman for ltftiu. Initial plans will get underway soon of the annual all breed dog show to be held at Klamath Coun ty fairgrounds over the Labor Day weekend. II. D. (Doug) Ambers, former resident, is seriously ill in a Se attle hospital. Brothers, Donald, Walter and Clifford Ambers and sisters, Mrs. Elayne Arrington, Klamath Falls, and Mrs. Myrtle Cortc, Albany, spent a few days last week with him. They report he is somewhat improved. Cards and letters will be appreciated. Funerals FLATTUM Funeral services for Jens Flat turn, 81, who died here January 25 will be held from the chapel of Ward's Klamath Funeral Home Thursday, January 28, at 10 a.m the Rev. Freeman Schmitt of the Bible Baptist Church officiating. Concluding services and interment in Klamath Memorial Park. DALEY YREKA Funeral services were held for Richard Harrison Daley, 40, of Yreka, Monday afternoon, January 25, 2 p.m. in Girdner's Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Harold C. Coleman of the Yreka Methodist Church officiant. Mr. Daley died at his home early Thursday morning, January 21, of a heart attack. He is survived by the widow, Patricia, three sons, Richard Jr., Raymond George and David Lee Daley, and a daughter, Joni Ann Daley, all of Yreka; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George B Daley of Oregon; a sister, Mrs Barbara Crain of Alamitas; and a brother, Allen C. Daley. Military rites were conducted at the grave side in Evergreen Cemetery. According to a medical survey, elderly persons who live alone do not sleep as well as those who are married.
